Dear Friends, Organizations, Agencies and discussion lists:

Over the past few years, we have had a variety of e-mail correspondence
concerning humanitarian affairs and environmental quality, specifically
about the plight of environmental refugees worldwide and the urgency for
    ecological restoration of damaged homelands.

I acknowlege and encourage your interest and work in these fields and hope
the portfolio described here will contribute to your understanding and
success. I will make every effort to provide copies as quickly and as
    affordably as possible.

Thank you and please excuse the informality of an e-mail. Best wishes for
    the new year.

    COMPREHENSIVE PORTFOLIO AVAILABLE ON
    ENVIRONMENTAL REFUGEES AND ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION

During the 1990's, natural and manmade disasters (earthquakes, floods,
eruptions, storms, drought, forestry, disruptive development, industrial
pollution, landmines, technological accidents, war and other events)
probably caused more than 25 million refugees in the world, in both rich
and poor countries. These people cannot return home unless their
communities and regions are repaired to safe and sustainable environmental
standards; this could be a much more difficult problem than winning a war
or changing governments. Who will do the work? Who will contribute the
knowledge and the money for restoration? Who will insure that the damage
    does not happen again?

A new and extensive portfolio of original work about environmental
refugees and ecological restoration of damaged homelands is now
available. The collection includes numerous research papers, reports,
conference transcripts, lectures, analyses, proposals and bibliographies
produced from 1992 through 1999, during doctoral work at the University
of New Hampshire-Durham, USA, as described in the table of contents below.

The hardcopy version is 841 pages, printed journal style, and 3-ring
bound. The cost is negotiable but generally set at US$500 for government,
    business, and large organizations; $250 for schools and grassroots NGO's;
and $150 for students and other individuals. Shipping is included.

Payment by bank check or money order to "Stuart Leiderman", c/o Post
Office Box 382, Durham, New Hampshire 03824 USA; or by wire transfer to
"Granite Bank, 122 West Street, Keene, New Hampshire 03431 USA, ABA
Routing Number 211770161, for credit to Stuart M. Leiderman, Account
    Number 0801-057799".

A diskette version can be provided, plus audio and video tape
cassettes of selected interviews, speeches, panel discussions, etc.

Thank you for any comments and questions.

    Stuart M. Leiderman
